Writers' and Artists' Blocks

I have been specialising in erasing writers' and artists' blocks, both through my e-book Unleash The Writer, and through direct work with clients. EFT is superb at erasing these blocks. It makes sense because the blocks are caused by fear, and EFT erases the fear, leaving the creativity, which is our birthright, room to flow freely.

I found the beginning series of taps and scripts very helpful because they enabled me to truly acknowledge how hurt I was [at the devastating comments from my writers’ group]. It was good for me to repeat again (and again!) the depth of my feelings.

The final part of the script where I was replacing the negatives with the positives was very interesting. As you suggested might happen, I was unable to say one or two of them at first as I didn't believe they were true. But I paused for a moment, and thought about them, and then realised 'Hey, yeah that IS true!' and continued to [use the EFT]. When I'd finished at least half an hour of continual tapping I felt calmer. Light dawned for me when I realised that I am writing for myself and God, not for anyone else. So it doesn't matter what they think. I have been fine ever since.

As the time for my first book launch approaches, I'm having worries about the calibre of my writing and how it will be compared to other writers. I turned to lesson 6 in my Unleash the Writer and tapped out the scripts with amazing success. After only ten minutes, I'd accepted my writing voice as being unique to me. I also let go my worries and allowed myself to be proud of my work. I'm now looking forward to seeing Love Match (my first novel) on the shelves without any worries ruining this time for me.

I just recently bought your e-book, and I think I've already had a small success with it.

This was #3 in your scripts (Who Do I Think I Am Even Trying to Write a Book?). I did the leaning forward/back thingy, and I was surprised when I leaned forward on this one. Then came the unbelievable part, when I started doing the tapping. I started crying. Gushing, in fact. I couldn't stop for a couple of minutes. It dredged up a memory I hadn't thought about in a few years.

It was a memory of a girl back when I was 13 or so, and her telling me, in so many words, that I had no business writing a book (even back then, I had an inkling writing was something I wanted to do!). She said it in a very condescending way.

I can honestly say that I was in a major rut with my current WIP, but I've gotten back to it. I'm completely rewriting it in another POV (from 3rd to 1st), and although it seems somewhat daunting, I'm enjoying it now, I'm having fun with it now! Woo hoo! :-)

And now, I just have to work on handling criticism...because although I've join a critique group, I haven't been on it in ages. I think, as you said in the e-book, it'll be wonderful to just feel neutral about the criticism. Thanks for the e-book - seems like it came at just the right time for me.

Dear Tracy, I'm finding it such a treat to tap along with your scripts and though only 15 minutes thus far into it, have already reaped some freedom emotionally.....Well, lots more tapping to do, but wanted to share that and additional thanks to you for creating such a wonderfully valuable product. All the best to you and your own endeavors, writing and otherwise,

Dear Tracy, I've had a chance to look at your ebook and it is amazing work. I love it. You are very insightful and cover a wide range of the emotional problems that people may have related to writing. I found I had some emotional intensity for at least 80% of the statements.

Well done.

I just wanted to relate a quick success story that has to do with your ebook. A long time writer friend of mine was having great difficulty with writer’s block. She hadn’t written anything new in over a year and was feeling very stuck. I called her up and we tapped on the phone for about an hour using your book to guide us and going wherever things turned up. She felt much better when we finished, but what I found most remarkable was that over the next month she wrote over 12000 words. I asked her if she wanted to continue with the tapping, but she says the ideas seem to be just pouring in at the moment. So there you are. A success story.

Dear Tracy
I just wanted to thank you for the help EFT gave me with my novel. I was very resistant to doing anything with the manuscript I’d been working on. I was unable to move it forward for the past two years and this was creating a lot of discomfort for me in terms of frustration and self-esteem. When I had my EFT session with you it seemed to unblock what was stuck and unable to move. So I was delighted after my session with you to find that the negative thoughts about my work seemed to have dissipated, and the energy block did seem to have dissolved. I now feel much more energized and positive about sending out my manuscript to publishers and agents.

I've begun to use the EFT technique, and it promises to be the most positive help I've come across to release creativity.
