Fear of Success

It might sound strange to speak about fear of success. After all, success is what we’re seeking! But yet, success does bring risks.  

For a start it brings change. And change is inherently risky as we’ve already discussed: It's the unknown.

Also success brings the risk of rejection. It’s sad to say but many people do begrudge others’ success. It’s not that they want to be mean, but your success brings them face-to-face with their lack of it. So, yes, if you’re successful you won’t fit in any more with some people. But you cannot be successful without meeting new people; new successful people.  

Another person who might well begrudge your success is you. Or rather, your ego. Your ego likes you to stay the same. But success requires growth and development, and your ego doesn’t like that.  

Another problem with success is that you cannot be successful without becoming at least moderately wealthy. And that brings up issues with money.
